Elijah Trunk Show Success!

On October 23rd, about a month ago, Keryn Dizon's Elijah brand trunk show was a success at Big Drop NYC store on Third Ave. The designer herself was present at the store, which was an extra bonus to the event. She showcased her 2007 collection and guests were able to get a sneak peek at her Spring 2008 collection. This is the first time her brand has developed from a few key items to a full collection. Some items in her Fall 2007 collection are coats, tie neck blouses, etc. Many of the clothes were made with a variety of colors and some gold beading as well. Keryn describes her line as modern and practical luxury.
As stated in Fashion Week Daily-Chic Report Blog, "Dizon's goal of this season's collection was to take 'evening and bring it into the everyday' solving the constant work-to-party clothing dilemma." Currently, on the website we have the V-Neck Dress with Handcrafted Flower, the One Shoulder Floral Minidress, and the Cap Sleeve Tunic; so feel free to check the site or our three store locations.

Gwen Stefani's collections are always a reflection of her own unique style and personality. Each season she draws inspiration from all aspects of her life. Her Spring '08 show took it back a few decades. The L.A.M.B line is both 60's and 80's inspired. She had a few mod touches, menswear influences, biker babe and sexy school girl looks as well.

Olympus Fashion Week Came & Conquered NYC Once Again! (Sept.5th-12th)

Designer Spring ’08 collections were a hit on the runway. Several of the designer lines are popular at Big Drop NYC; from L.A.M.B by Gwen Stefani to 3.1 by Phillip Lim. Fashion at its best.

Fashion Week Designers at Big Drop:
-Tracy Reese
She’s showing just a bit more pants this season than usual and has very classic lines, which are closer to the body. The colors she’ll use for her Spring 2008 collection will range from black to bright henna to peacock blue and what she’s describing as a “sunset palette” that flows from orange to pink to lilac. Definitely more color variations this season.

-L.A.M.B
The Spring 2008 collection includes parkas, tartan plaids, skirts, oversized belts, sleeveless shirts, shift dresses, oversized bowling bags, cigarette pants, schoolboy blazers and yellow, green and blue hound’s-tooth patterns. There are little details, such as buttons, ruffles and seaming.

-Charlotte Ronson
There were goofy glasses, preppy cardigans, 70's inspired plaids, and nonchalant stoner gear. Her line will have the wide leg pants, high-waisted shorts, and plaid. Yellow, grays, black and white were also big players in her collection.

-Akiko
This season she’s using mainly bright and muted colors; flowy, funky and fun cuts and styles.

-3.1 by Phillip Lim
His Spring 08 collection is laid back refinement with moments of romance.

-Rebecca Taylor
Flirty & feminine; sophisticated & romantic is what her line embodies. There was some use of sheer fabrics, some metallic details; swishy skirts, and cocktail dresses that stand out, and elongating pants were popular in the collection.

-Jovovich-Hawk
Their line gives of a sexy antique mood; inspired by pre and post-revolutionary France (Marie Antoinette and Napoleons wife Josephine). Tunic dresses; empire waist satin gowns as well as the use of muted colors were a hit in the collection.
